Terms of use

MDifying is provided free, as-is, with no account and no guarantees. Converting a document is something your own browser does; we simply give it the tools.

Last updated 9 August 2026.

The service

MDifying converts documents to Markdown inside your browser. It is offered without charge and without registration. We may change, limit or withdraw it at any time.

No warranty

Conversion quality varies with the document. Complex layouts, tables, and scanned pages can be reproduced imperfectly or incorrectly, and text recognition on images is approximate by nature. The output is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.

Check the result before relying on it. Do not use the output for anything consequential — legal, medical, financial or otherwise — without reading it against the original first.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this tool, including from inaccurate conversion output or from the service being unavailable.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for having the right to convert the documents you use here, and for complying with any confidentiality or data-protection obligations that attach to them. Because conversion happens on your own device, using this tool does not disclose your documents to us — but it is still your decision whether a given document may be processed at all.

Do not use this service to break the law or to attack the site or its users.

Your content

We claim no rights over anything you convert. We never receive it, so there is nothing for us to claim.

Open-source components

The converter is built on open-source libraries, each under its own licence. Those licences and notices are included with the files served by this site.

Changes

Updated terms take effect when published, and the date above will change.
